Kairos is Winmau's torpedo line — centre weighted with a firm 4 out of 5 grip, in two lengths that behave quite differently.

The 2 takes the same torpedo profile onto a full-length 50.8mm barrel, and the difference is immediate — 7.05mm at 24g where the short Kairos 1 needs 7.7mm to carry 21g.

That's the trade in a nutshell. Ten millimetres of extra length lets the barrel carry three more grams at a smaller diameter, so it takes up less room in the board while still giving you the shoulder a torpedo provides. If you like the shape but found the Kairos 1 too stubby, this is the same idea stretched out.

Firm 4 out of 5 grip throughout, holding until the last moment of the throw.

It also covers heavier weights than the Kairos 1 offers, so the two barrels bracket each other rather than overlap: 21g and 23g on the short one, 24g and 26g here.
