Goat build their range around sporting themes, and each barrel has a distinct profile rather than being one shape in different finishes.

The Rook combines two shapes — scalloped and tapered together — on a 95% tungsten barrel, and the two do different jobs. The scallop dips where your fingers sit to give you a seat; the taper narrows towards the rear to pull the mass forward.

Between them they explain the light 2 out of 5 grip. Neither the position nor the hold depends on the cuts, so Goat haven't needed to cut deep. The result is front-loaded flight — nose-down, dropping into the board — from a barrel that releases cleanly.

At 95% tungsten it also stays slim for the weight: 6.8mm at 22g, only 7.2mm at 26g on a 50.8mm barrel. A denser alloy holds the same mass in less material, so three darts leave more room in the treble than a 90% barrel would.
